from our Fiber Feed Studio

This studio is primarily used for single camera 'News Hit' live fiber shots. It has several dedicated Boston Skyline backgrounds for day and night and can easily accommodate two guests on set. If needed a second camera can be quickly assigned to this space.

This space is equipped with a single Sony D-35 camera and the 'News Set' is permanently lit. This studio can be 'Ready for Air' in less than 1 minute.

Video Production Studio

This studio is 28' x 28' with the lighting grid at 12.5 feet.

This studio was designed with multi-camera video production in mind. The PixMix Video Control Room is adjacent to this space. The video entrance panel is wired for up to 4 cameras, plus ample video and audio patching to allow for complete production flexibility.

There is a 24' Hard Cyc along one wall and this is used for GREEN SCREEN shooting. The floor of the GREEN SCEEN extends out 10 feet from the back wall, allowing ample room for complete head to toe shooting of talent.

The lighting grid is set on 3' squares and contains 12 dedicated 1200-watt dimming circuits and 4 dedicated 20 amp non-dim circuits. The 12 dimming circuits are available on both ends of the studio and the non-dim circuits are centered on the space. There are 4 additional 20 amp non-dim wall outlets. Also, there are 2 - 20 amp 220 Volt wall outlets available for special applications.

Our production studio has a dedicated, acoustically lined air conditioning system that is extremely quiet.

For load in / out there are a pair of 8' x 3' double doors leading from the studio into the prop storage area. This area leads directly outside with a pair of 3' x 7' doors and the dock height is 26 inches.

Studio Control Room

The PixMix studio control room features a completely component signal path. This results in superior camera images, and the difference can be clearly seen on-air. This control room was designed to handle both live multi-camera events (such as webcasts) and live to tape programs with ease. The room can support up to four Sony D-35 cameras using Sony Multi-Core Camera Control Units.
